ASVAB Information

The ASVAB is generally given at RSHS one time per year in the fall.  If you are interested in taking the ASVAB, please see your guidance counselor as soon as possible.  The following is information provided by our ASVAB liason:

The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple aptitude test battery in the
world. It assesses a student's ability to learn new skills, and is a
predictor of success in training and education programs. Our Career
Exploration Program offers more than just a test. It includes an interest
inventory and other activities and resources designed to help students
explore the world of work and gain confidence in making career decisions.
Here are some of the advantages of using the ASVAB and the CEP as diagnostic

* Cost: The ASVAB, CEP, and any required support from my office are FREE.

Though many students may already have a general idea of what
direction they want to go in life, the ASVAB CEP can assist them in
narrowing career fields down to a manageable number. In addition, the
program may show them that they have abilities in fields that they have
never considered. I offer the ASVAB CEP to you not to try to recruit your
students for the military, but to help them with planning their future,
whether it lay with the military or not. Our mission at the Baltimore MEPS
is to continue to assist local educators, in every way possible, in guiding
their students to rewarding careers. Should you have any questions
concerning scheduling the ASVAB or any other aspect of the ASVAB CEP, please
feel free to contact one of us.
